A lively AGM in June saw the committee remain unchanged, and members who turned up for the meeting and the drinks and nibbles afterwards were much enthused by the news that the Revue will go ahead in January 2017. The show will feature contributions from both established, rising and yet-to-be-accoladed stars of the LG Drama Club! The production will be ‘curated’ by Paul Woods and Shaun McCarthy and will involve all age groups and many abilities.
We shall be starting to call people up in September with proposals and ideas for content; if you, your children or a relative/friend want to get involved please get in touch.
Our play readings continue to attract a dedicated band of followers, and there is always room for more participants. You get the opportunity to voice a number of different characters in your own way without the need to learn lines or handle stage directions. The next reading will be ‘Quartet’ by Ronald Harwood on September 21st and this may well be featured as a future stage production in the village. Readings normally take place on the third Wednesday of each month, as advertised.
