Our production of ‘Dangerous Corner’ by JB Priestley will be packed away, costumes cleaned, props returned to rightful owners, furniture re-sold or repatriated and we will be left feeling either a bit flat with post production blues or possibly a sense of enormous relief. Pictures and a full report will have to appear in the next Diary.

There is always something on the horizon for the Drama Club, however, and on Wednesday December 12th there will be a play reading of ‘The Flint Street Nativity’ by Tim Firth. Do come along for bit of light festive nonsense, helped down with mince pies and a glass of mulled wine. Our choice of play reading script has been on the lighter side during the autumn with ‘Heretic’ by Richard Bean and ‘A Bunch of Amateurs’ by Ian Hislop and Nick Newman. Play readings will continue on the third Wednesday of the month in the village hall committee room, do come along and join in.

The new year will bring preparations for our May production of ‘Thicker than Water’ by Patrick Isherwood, to be directed by Anne Isherwood. Auditions for the eight parts - three men, four women and one gender neutral - will be in late February, with rehearsals starting at the beginning of March. You don’t have to be a LGDC member to audition, do just come along and see if it’s for you, or speak to Anne or Patrick for more in depth detail of the characters.
