The Gaddesden Society Little Gaddesden School

Little Gaddesden Church of England Primary School

Summer Term 2016

Some of the highlights of the summer term have included:

  • Fantastic SATs results
  • Trip to PGL
  • Visit To Kew Gardens
  • Winning the Small Schools Athletics Trophy
  • Visit to RAF Duxford
  • Action Aid Tea
  • Forest Schools in Ashridge
  • Sports Week
  • Maypole Dancing
  • Whole school trip to Phasels Wood
  • Class 4’s Performance of a modern version of ‘A Midsummers Night’s Dream’

There have been a few low points:

  • Coming second in Inter-Village Sports
  • Constant changes in government policy
  • Saying goodbye to Adam, our sports coach
  • A frustrating gardening contract so hedges are not cut and lines aren’t painted

Overall, there are many things that make us proud of our school and our children, including:

  • outstanding staff
  • caring parents
  • conscientious governors
  • a really beautiful and supportive local village community
  • and 105 happy, hardworking children!
