Thursday 1 December to Saturday 24 December Travelling Crib

It’s that time of year again where the Travelling Crib is preparing to make its way round the village. For those who are new to the process, this is a lovely village tradition where the figures of Mary, Joseph, the angel and a donkey make their way around the village visiting a different home every night between 1st and 24th December. Once we have established who is hosting on which night, you will need to make contact with the people next to you on the list to arrange personal handovers.

Please contact Catriona Angel if you’d like to be involved in this festive tradition. Email: travelling-crib@littlegaddesdenchurch.org.uk

Thursday 1 December – Christmas Wreath Making, Thomas Field Hall, 1.30pm onwards

Thursday 1 December – Book Launch, Thomas Field Hall at 7pm

Roger Bolton’s new book, ‘Before Modern Ideas’ will be launched on Thursday 1st December at 7.00pm in the Thomas Field Hall.

Roger has transcribed the Diary and Annals of Little Gaddesden, kept by the rectors from 1870 to 1935, a period in which the village changed dramatically, and has also added a brief history.

All are welcome to come along to the launch.
