Saturday 18 March – Councillor Terry Douris at the Bridgewater Arms, 10am to 10.30am
Terry Douris, Dacorum and Hertfordshire County Councillor, will be at the Bridgewater Arms from 10.00am to 10.30am should you have any local issues you wish to discuss with him.
Tuesday 21 March – The Ethics Forum, 7.30pm for 8pm, Thomas Field Hall, LG Church
Do Animals have Rights? Come and join The Ethics Forum on Tuesday, 21 March, at 7.30pm for 8pm, a discussion forum on topical issues. This one will explore such issues as dominion, suffering, and rights, and whether animals have souls. We welcome Dr Clair Linzey, a theologian, ethicist and writer, who is Deputy Director of the Oxford Centre for Animal Ethics, with Roger Bolton facilitating the discussion. Roger Bolton – ‘Before Modern Ideas’
For his latest book, Roger has delved into the Diary and Annals of Little Gaddesden, kept by the rectors between 1870 and 1935. Join us to hear fascinating insights into this time of great change in the area.
Everyone welcome – £1 entry fee includes wine and cheese
Saturday 1 April – LG Local Produce Market, Village Hall, 9am to midday
Come along to the Little Gaddesden Local Produce Market – please note the new opening time of 9am (closing at midday). A great variety of stalls including jams and preserves, candles, cards, plants, bric a brac, cakes and bakes, including bargain breakfast baps and a cuppa for just £3.50.
Free entry and a very warm welcome.
Saturday 6 May – Village Party for the Coronation
Tickets are now on sale for the Village Party on the evening of the Coronation, to kick-start the historic celebrations.
Ticket Prices:
- For the evening party – Under 18s: £5 and Adults: £10
- Hog roast: £10

Sunday 21 May – The Gaddesden Gallop, 11am start from the Sports Field
Save the date for the Gaddesden Gallop fun run through Ashridge. 5km or 10km. All welcome. Further entry details to follow.
VPA Store
The VPA Store, located next to the Village Hall, will be open on Sundays 10am till 12 noon for all your gardening needs such as potting compost, seeds, garden twine etc.
