Christian Aid Week – 14th – 20th May
Christian Aid works in some of the world’s poorest communities. It acts where there is great need, regardless of religion, supporting people to live a full life, free from poverty. This year’s Christian Aid Week appeal is focussing on communities paying a harsh price for the global cost of living and climate crises.
Last year Little Gaddesden raised over £950 for Christian Aid Week. We are hoping to exceed this figure in 2023.
We will be raising funds through a Strawberry Cream Tea on Saturday 20th May from 3pm-5pm in the Thomas Field Hall, collections in the church on 14th and 21st May and, for those who wish to donate online, through Little Gaddesden’s e-envelope: https://envelope.christianaid.org.uk/littlegaddesdenchurch
Sunday 21 May – The Gaddesden Gallop, 11am start from the Sports Field

Roger, who was brought up in the village, joins us to talk about the work of this local charity based in Chesham whose aim is to empower young people in Africa and the UK, to help themselves by developing the skills and knowledge needed to find gainful employment or start their own business.
He is happy to accept donations of items on the evening, particularly manual or electric knitting or sewing machines (nb he will be in an estate car, not a van). Please follow this link to see what other items Workaid are in need of: https://workaid.org/donate-tools
