Date of Next Village Notices

Note Deadline for Copy Submission!

Please note, going forward, Village Notices will normally be sent out fortnightly on a Thursday. Any copy to be included in a Village Notice should be sent to village.notices@littlegaddesden.org.uk no later than the Tuesday prior to circulation. The next planned Village Notice will be circulated on Thursday 5th June.

And just an alert: our current mailing partner, MailChimp, is making some more changes to the type of account we have (i.e. they’re making it worse – again – to encourage us to upgrade). So it might just be that the email version of the next edition of Village Notices will look a bit different or be delayed, or both. Please bear with us as we work through this transition.

Sending an Image with Text?

Also, if you are sending an image with your copy – for example an image of a poster for an event – please repeat any image text in your copy. Search engines mark down our website if they detect text in an image that isn’t readable.

Thursday 22 May – Gaddesden Society AGM and Talk, Village Hall, 8pm

Little Gaddesden Charities Fund

Established in 1997 (as a combination of a number of established local charities), the Little Gaddesden charities has supported individuals and families in Little Gaddesden Parish for 25 years.

The charities’ sole purpose is to help individuals or families resident in the parish with small one-off requests for financial support.

The committee are aware that local parishioners may or may not be aware of the charities and wish to promote the purpose to all residents.

Requests for support are made by either contacting The Revd John Russell on 07950 105802 or by emailing john_russell@live.co.uk. John continues to chair the charities’ small committee of trustees.

In such a period of financial uncertainty and with the cost of living crisis it is even more important to ensure that members of the Parish are aware of the support availability, and we would welcome being able to provide more support from funds available.

All requests are treated with the utmost confidence and no personal information is shared.

We would also welcome any local organisations providing information of how to access the charity in any
