The Gaddesden Society’s original Constitution dates from 1945 and may have been adopted at an early — if not the first — meeting of the Society on 24 February 1945.
We set out below the original text of the Constitution and Regulations, and also the text of another early document entitled ‘How It All Came About’.

It is proposed to ratify the adoption of the Constitution at an EGM. For this purpose, all future meetings of The Gaddesden Society (including talks and film nights) are designated by the Committee as Extraordinary General Meetings until further notice.
