Below are just a selection of the many activities and achievements we can celebrate as part of school life.

Sports News

Cross country running has been a big feature of the Autumn Term. Children from Years 1-6 have been involved in three different events in Ashlyns School and Tring School.

Arts News

This term we are part of a project with the National Theatre. The producer of ‘Emil and the Detectives’ is coming to work with our children and six of the members of our staff will receive special training in London. For this reason, we look forward to a very different Christmas play this year. The National Theatre are excited too - as they are used to working with large schools and we are the first school they have worked with where all the children in the school get involved in the same play!

Our Year 6 Arts Ambassadors ran an afternoon workshop for Classes 1 and 2 for ‘The Big Draw’. They have also organised a competition for the whole school.

Great Expectations

Our staff were invited to take part with 24 other schools in Herts for Learning’s new key initiative this academic year called ‘Great Expectations’. This meant we have had visits from senior staff from three Hertfordshire schools, two secondary schools and one infants school. It was great to have this opportunity to showcase what we are doing and one of the Heads had emailed before he had got back to his school in Stevenage “Your school and your children are fantastic”.

Today we received a letter from Nick Gibb MP, the Schools Minister, congratulating us on our results in June 2018.
