Celebrating the Queen’s 70 year reign

Most people are aware of the fantastic fun packed celebrations the village is organising in June.  The main events will be held on the sports fields on the Sunday. Now here is the question.

There will be a very large marquee available for a village party on Saturday evening. It would seem a real shame not to use it. Who out there would be up for a party? Help would be needed to set up and clear up and probably the easiest option would be to get ‘street’ food sales option. Pay bar can be sorted.

Please message me if you think it would be a good idea, if you would come with friends and if you could help in any way.

Let’s throw off the covid blues and party.

Little Gaddesden Art Club & Jubilee Weekend

Draw or Paint a Picture of Our Queen!

Little Gaddesden Art Club are inviting all children in the village to draw or paint a picture of our Queen on A4 paper (no larger please). How do you see her: with a crown, without a crown, in a beautiful hat, riding her horse or with the family?

These will be displayed at the Art Club Summer Exhibition over the Jubilee weekend in the Village Hall.

A project for the Easter holidays, perhaps?

Please deliver these to Virginia Westmacott at 2 Hudnall Common NO LATER than FRIDAY 13th MAY.
