Wise-Aid

Trevor Lucey

Established in 1997, Transrural Trust (now Wise-Aid) is a registered charity that assists women in disadvantaged rural areas to transform their natural resources, traditions and skills into profitable and sustainable enterprises. The charity also explores and promotes wiser approaches to channelling aid for international development in order to foster self-reliance, reduce poverty and lessen dependency. http://www.transrural.org/

GadSoc Talks

The Gaddesden Society arranges talks four to six times a year: our programme is published in the Diary and available here. Everyone is welcome at these evenings, which are social occasions to meet others in the village over a glass of wine and listen to interesting talks. The cost is only £1, payable at the door, and we take cash or cards.

Credit and debit cards accepted
