Village Notices for 24 August 2022

Friday 2 September – 2022 Nettleden Festival – Nettleden Church 7.30pm

Jazz from the Mississippi Swamp Dogs.

Bar open from 6.30pm, Hog Roast served from 8pm

Saturday 3 September – Village Produce Market, Village Hall  – 9.30 to 12.30

Lots of lovely varied local produce, crafts, bric a brac, plants, candles, and not forgetting the bargain breakfast baps with a cuppa for just £3.

An afternoon of fun for all the family.  Races for everyone.  BBQ, bar, tea and cake, tombola and lots more. Bring your family and friends …. Everyone welcome.

Wednesday 20 July – Pilgrimage to St. Margaret’s

Please join us for a short Pilgrimage to the site of Ivinghoe Priory at St Margaret’s to celebrate the feast day of St Margaret.  The starting point will be at Little Gaddesden Church at 6.00pm on Wednesday 20th July and we will walk to St Margaret’s where there will be a short service.  Please join us along the way if you like, or at the site of the Priory. 
(More details of the Priory can be found in the July/August edition of the Parish News).

Photos of the Platinum Jubilee celebrations

Suzie Banerji has offered to make a book containing photos taken over the Platinum Jubilee weekend as a record for the village.

Wednesday 13th July – The Rural Heritage Society AGM, Village Hall  – 7.30pm – Postponed

Unfortunately, our speaker, Zora Tyrone, has just tested positive for Covid so we are having to postpone the AGM from next Wednesday evening (13 July) until some time in the Autumn.  The new date will be announced as soon as we can finalise the new arrangements.  Apologies for the late notification.

All members and potential members are welcome.  Wine and nibbles will be served.
