Wednesday 13th July – The Rural Heritage Society AGM, Village Hall  – 7.30pm – Postponed

Unfortunately, our speaker, Zora Tyrone, has just tested positive for Covid so we are having to postpone the AGM from next Wednesday evening (13 July) until some time in the Autumn.  The new date will be announced as soon as we can finalise the new arrangements.  Apologies for the late notification.

All members and potential members are welcome.  Wine and nibbles will be served.

Saturday 10th September – Village Sports Day on the sports field

An afternoon of fun for all the family.  Races for everyone.  BBQ, bar, tea and cake, tombola and lots more.  Make a date in your diary – do come and join in the fun.

Saturday 2nd July – Village Produce Market, Village Hall  – 9.30 to 12.30

Lots of lovely varied local produce, crafts, bric a brac, plants, candles, and not forgetting the bargain breakfast baps with a cuppa for just £3.

Wednesday 13th July – The Rural Heritage Society AGM, Village Hall  – 7.30pm

The Rural Heritage Society AGM will take place at 7.30pm on Wednesday, 13 July 2022 in the Village Hall.  After a short formal AGM, we are pleased to welcome as our speaker Zora Tyrone, the Head Gardener at Ashridge House, who will be giving a talk on “Ashridge House Gardens – Recent changes and plans for the future”.

All members and potential members are welcome.  Wine and nibbles will be served.

Tuesday 14th June – Gaddesden Society AGM and talk – Village Hall, 8.15pm

Shortly after the recent, wonderful Platinum Jubilee celebrations for the Queen, we are pleased to welcome our speaker, Sally Osman LVO, a former Director of Royal Communications at Buckingham Palace who will share an insight of the public role, duties, relevance, and value of a monarchy in the UK and around the Commonwealth.  Sally’s presentation will follow a very brief AGM of the Gaddesden Society.

Everyone welcome – Admission £1 including wine and cheese.

Village Notices for 9th June 2022

Saturday 11th June – Village Produce Market, Village Hall – 9.30am to 12.30

Sunday 12th June – Rural Heritage Walk – 3pm from Cromer Close

Tim Cooper will lead a Rural Heritage Society walk on Sunday, 12 June, starting at 3pm from the post box at the end of Cromer Close.  Parking is available in the Cromer Close layby or in Tim’s front drive.  The walk will continue via Nobody’s Bottom, Nettleden, St Margaret’s, Hudnall Common and back to Cromer Close via Home Farm.

Everyone welcome, members or non-members, including well-behaved dogs.   The weather forecast is good!
